The return of Hoi Polloi came in full force, with their astounding WHITE ON WHITE and intimate sibling-horror revival of Celine Song’s FAMILY - now they’re back with a 20(!) performer dance-theatre work with choreography by Dan Safer, certified legend in the form. I think everyone should see a Hoi Polloi show once in their lives and then after and after. I’ll be there 7/5, join me at temple.

The performance collective AUNTS has been creating, curating, nurturing, teaching, and putting up new thoughtful experimental dance and performance work since 2005! This week they’ve gathered all those threads to Danspace, in a festival of daytime classes, food, Juneteenth celebration cookout, and evening performances. Like your favorite auntie, AUNTS is both total chill and total chaos, sharing work ranging from raging endurance movement, to gorgeous acappella ambient music, to duets scored by the sounds of a distant school gym. Two more days of things, June 19 and June 21. Come through!
